Terms & Conditions

1. Business identity and contact details

www.lalousi.com is operated by the sole proprietorship trading as “LALOUSI MARIA” (“Lalousi”, “we”, “us”), VAT No. 158056609, competent Tax Office of Agioi Anargyroi and G.E.MI. No. 185464702000. Registered address: Kefallinias 111, Agioi Anargyroi, GR-135 61, Greece. Contact: [email protected].

2. Scope and acceptance

These terms govern browsing and purchases through our online shop. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Shipping & Returns Policy. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions prevail over any conflicting term.

3. Products, prices and availability

Our jewellery is handmade; reasonable minor variations in colour, texture or detail may occur. Product images and descriptions are presented as accurately as possible, without affecting your statutory remedies if a product is not in conformity with the contract.

Prices are shown in euros and include applicable VAT. Delivery costs and any charges are shown before you complete the order. We may correct an obvious pricing or availability error before accepting an order; we will contact you and will not charge you, or will promptly refund any amount already paid.

4. Orders, contract formation and payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy. An automated receipt confirmation is not acceptance of that offer. A contract is formed when we accept the order and, where required, payment has been successfully confirmed. Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Orders are processed after payment, unless expressly stated otherwise. Ownership passes after full payment.

5. Production, shipping and delivery

Production times, delivery costs, shipping destinations and delivery arrangements are set out in the Shipping & Returns Policy and at checkout. Estimated times are indicative unless a specific date has been expressly agreed. Risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or a person you designate other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the product.

6. Right of withdrawal for standard products

For distance contracts, you generally have the right to withdraw within 14 calendar days from the day you, or a person you designate, receives the product, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, send an unambiguous statement to [email protected], including your order number and contact details. You may use the model form at the end of the Shipping & Returns Policy, but this is not mandatory.

The withdrawal procedure, return deadlines and costs, and refunds are detailed in the Shipping & Returns Policy. Withdrawal does not limit your rights in respect of a faulty or non-conforming product.

7. Exception for personalised products

No right of withdrawal applies to products made to your specifications or clearly personalised (for example, engraving, a bespoke size or a design not offered as a standard option), to the extent provided by applicable law. We will clearly tell you before purchase where this exception applies. A product is not excluded from withdrawal merely because it is handmade or produced after the order.

8. Statutory guarantee of conformity

Lalousi is liable for any lack of conformity or defect existing upon delivery and manifesting within two (2) years from delivery, in accordance with Articles 534 et seq. of the Greek Civil Code and applicable consumer legislation. Where applicable, you are entitled to have the product brought into conformity, a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract, as provided by law. This statutory guarantee is separate from and is not restricted by our exchanges policy, withdrawal rights or any commercial guarantee. To report a problem, email [email protected] with your order number and photographs where available.

9. Gift Cards

Electronic Gift Cards are issued in euros after successful payment and sent to the recipient email address entered at purchase, immediately or on the selected date. The purchaser is responsible for the accuracy of that email address and confirms they are entitled to provide it for this purpose.

Each Gift Card is a single-use code, redeemable only at www.lalousi.com and only at checkout using the registered recipient email address. It cannot be combined with other codes/coupons and the order total must be at least the card’s face value. No balance, credit or cash refund of any difference is provided. A Gift Card cannot be used to purchase another Gift Card.

Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, will not be replaced if a code is lost, stolen, disclosed or used by a third party, and do not expire unless expressly stated at purchase. Any return or cancellation of a Gift Card will be assessed under mandatory consumer law and the code’s issue/use status. For immediate delivery of an electronic code, a separate consent/acknowledgement may be required at checkout where required by law.

10. Intellectual property

Website content, including designs, photographs, text, logos and marks, is protected by applicable law. Reproduction or commercial use without prior written permission is prohibited except where permitted by law.

11. Liability and force majeure

We make reasonable efforts to keep the website available and its information accurate. We are not liable for temporary interruption or delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including force majeure or third-party service outages. This does not exclude liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Complaints, governing law and changes

For complaints, please contact [email protected] first. These terms are governed by Greek law, without prejudice to mandatory protection available to a consumer in their country of habitual residence. Jurisdiction is determined by mandatory applicable rules. We may update these terms for future orders; the current version and date will be published here.

Pursuant to Directive 2013/11/EU, European consumers may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for alternative dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
